Devlog Update #1
In this development update, I’m excited to share the progress I’ve made on my game project. Here’s a breakdown of the features I've implemented so far:
1. **Player Movement**: I’ve implemented basic player movement, allowing the character to navigate the game world smoothly. The controls are intuitive, making it easy for players to explore.
2. **Camera Control**: The game now supports both first-person and third-person camera perspectives. Players can switch between views seamlessly, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
3. **Walking Animation**: To bring the character to life, I’ve added a walking animation. This adds realism and immersion, making it more engaging for players as they move around the environment.
4. **Simple Fire**: A simple fire effect has been integrated into the game. This not only adds aesthetic value but also serves as a gameplay element, creating opportunities for survival mechanics.
5. **Sun Movement and Day/Night Cycle**: I’ve implemented a dynamic sun movement system, creating a day/night cycle in the game. This adds a layer of realism and impacts gameplay, influencing visibility and player strategy.
6. **Item and Inventory System/Crafting System**: An item and inventory system has been developed, allowing players to collect, manage, and utilize items within the game. This includes a crafting system where players can combine materials to create new items.
